THE DUCHESS

Spuistraat 172, Amsterdam, 1012 VT, Netherlands

French, Mediterranean Cuisine

This upscale brasserie in what was once a waiting room of KAS Bank exudes the captivating charm of the Belle Époque. Features such as dark marble, impressive chandeliers, antique clocks and stunning stained-glass windows create an intimate setting. The extensive menu is inspired by Mediterranean culinary tradition, with a particular emphasis on southern France and Italy. Classics such as beef Wellington and tagliolini cacio e pepe are served in generous portions, without any unnecessary frills. The weekend afternoon tea is a real treat.

The meals served at the Duchess are a sharing concept.

A "sharing concept" in a restaurant means offering dishes designed to be shared among diners at a table, encouraging social interaction and a more communal dining experience.
